Psalm 149:1, 4-5 New Living Translation
Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song.
Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.
For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.
MEDITATION:
When there is a new heaven and new earth with Jesus as is our King, we will witness victory over all evil. Even now in the turmoil and heartache of our lives, we can have victory over fear and sadness. Let’s remember God delights in his people. To me this means the Lord enjoys a personal relationship with you and me and blesses us. When we accept His Son as our Savior His Spirit comes to live in our hearts, giving us the wisdom, guidance and enthusiasm to stay strong. We are never alone and helpless because our God loves us, and He is faithful. Let’s praise the Lord often and sing for joy.
YOUR JOURNAL:
Write about ways you can convince someone you delight in them.
PRAYER:
HOLY SPIRIT, when I feel like I'm in a dark place, please give me the light of positive thoughts and enthusiasm. Thank you for Your faithfulness and guidance that lifts me up. Enable me to find joy in my daily responsibilities. Amen.

Meditation on Psalm 149:1, 4-5
The psalm beautifully illustrates that God finds joy in His people and rewards their humility with victory. This victory is not just a physical or earthly triumph; it extends to overcoming spiritual battles, fears, and internal struggles. This message is particularly poignant in our current lives, often marred by chaos, uncertainty, and heartache.
